The Heart Of Georgia!

Twiggs County is located at the geographical center of Georgia! We like to think of our community as “The Heart Of Georgia”. We have a small school district that affords us the opportunity to be family oriented and student focused. The mission of our band is to foster an appreciation of good music, to create positive musical experiences for our students and community, and to build model citizens who give back to their state and nation in a great way. We accomplish this mission by facilitating high-quality character building musical experiences. In our band program students are offered musical training via Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band, and Marching Band.

Musical Achievement

The Twiggs County Band Program has earned many awards and citations for excellence, including; Excellent & Superior ratings at Concert Performance Assessment, Marching Contests, and invitations to represent the state of Georgia in out of state festivals and events. Our Marching band has traveled to South Carolina competing in marching contests earning Superior Ratings in class 4A. Always a crowd favorite, our band has been voted “Best Band” In the International Cherry Blossom Parade for several consecutive years.

“Excellence On And Off The Field”

We are proud of the academic achievement of our band students. Since the founding of our program, a band student has been selected as the class Valedictorian or Salutatorian each year. We are also very proud to say our band students have earned over $2 million in college scholarships.
